About the Tour

If you are looking for a short yet adventurous trip that will allow you the thrill of doing something challenging, fill you with a calming essence, and bring you close to nature and the almighty,  then this Kodachadri peak trek is for you. Just a short distance from Bangalore,  the Kodachadri trek offers you several thrilling experiences, including a trek in the Western Ghats, a close-up experience with the scenic Hidlumane Falls, an opportunity to seek blessings of Goddess Mookambika, and, of course, a night at the campsite.

Trip Highlights

  • Conquer the 10th highest peak of Karnataka, the Kodachadri Peak, standing at a gorgeous height of 1,343 meters in the Western Ghats.

  • Visit the shrine of Goddess Mookambika and see her blessings. A 10-12 km hike will give your adventure activity a spiritual touch.

  • If you are a history buff and nature enthusiast in one person, you will have a wonderful time exploring the Nagara Fort, a beautiful fort built in 1640 amidst the rolling hills.

  • Have an adventurous ride in a sturdy 4x4 jeep. Experience both on-road fun on smooth roads and off-road thrills on bumpy patches.

  • You can also seek the blessings of the Lord at both Ganesha Guha and Sarvanja Peetha, which are located at the peak. The place is known to be the meditation point of the great Adi Shankaracharya.

The experience of Kodachadri trek is truly meant for those who want to feel the real raw side of nature. Planned by Wanderer Wave travel agency, this trip turned out to be an adventure for the whole group in which every moment had its own vibe – dense jungle trails, slippery paths, small waterfalls, trekking ahead in the rain, and when we watched the sunset among the clouds at the summit, everyone just went silent for a moment; the impact of that view is difficult to describe in words. Tent stay, tasty local food, and group bonding around the bonfire – everything flowed so naturally that it did not feel like we were with a travel group, it felt like everyone was old friends. Wanderer Wave had arranged everything so well that there was no tension at all, it was just about enjoying. For those who want to explore nature, thrill and a little offbeat life, Kodachadri trek is a perfect choice – a journey that stays in the memory.
