About the Tour

Prabalmachi is a beautiful village near Sheung Phat. Surrounded by green forests, which offer gorgeous views of Panvel, Matheran, Karnala Fort, Irshalgad, and Morbe Dam. This place is popular for a weekend getaway near Navi Mumbai, especially during monsoons when the flora and fauna are in full bloom. But that's not even the best part. It is the fireflies that light up the area. Just imagine camping in the open with hundreds of fireflies flying above you, glowing in the dark like floating stars. Just like its natural beauty, even the history of this place is spectacularly rich. Prabalgad Fort, formerly known as Muranjan, was renamed by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj after the Marathas won it. The Kalavantin Durg, situated at an elevation of 2,250 feet above sea level, was constructed in the 15th century for Queen Kalavantin. The trail splits at Prabalmachi, with Kalavantin being the shorter but tougher climb.

DAY 1

Arrival at Panvel

On day one, when you reach Panvel Station, you’ll be welcomed by our company representative. Greet your fellow travelers and get to know one another with a brief introduction. After that, the leader will provide brief yet important instructions and safety tips. Then you’ll head towards Thakurwadi, the base village for the Prabalmachi trek. Once you have reached Thakurwadi, you will start your trek to Prabalmachi. It takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to get to the hilltop where your campsite for the night will be situated. After that, take a break, stabilize your breath, and soak in the peaceful, scenic surroundings. At night, enjoy a delicious dinner with your fellow trekkers under a sky full of stars and finally sleep in your cozy tents for a restful night.

If, for any reason, the participant does take the trip due to any reason of their own choice, they will not be eligible for a refund.
If the participant participates in any activity during the trip for any reason of their own choice, they will not be eligible for a refund.
Suppose operational restraints due to weather conditions or any other reason cause the trip to be altered or canceled in real-time. In that case, the additional cost due to such (out-of-control) changes will not be adjusted in package costs.
